Our band has members of all ages, from highschooler to 70+ years old and all playing level, from amatuer to professional. Here is interesting information about some of our valued members.
he was the feature soloist in the premier performance of "A Clarke County Potrait", which is an original concert band work that was commissioned by the Clarke County Community Band.
David Compton plays trumpet. He is the Director of Senior Ministries at Bible Fellowship Church.
Chris Shipe plays trumpet. He is the CEO of Loudoun Mutual Insurance Company and is the Vice-President of the band.
Sara Boppe plays flute.
Julie Elrick plays clarinet. She is the Director of Pharmacy for Valley Health
John Hudson is our vocalist. He is the president of the Bank of Clarke County Foundation.
Terry Whitmire is our percussionist. He owns Winchester Electric.
Heidi Harper plays trombone. She is the band's librarian.
Richard Robertson plays clarinet. He is a retired Frederick County band director.
Julie Staggers plays clarinet. She is the owner of Julie Staggers Orthodontics and is the band's treasure. She is the longest standing member of the band.
Melinda Russell plays clarinet. She is a retired Frederick County band director.
John Russell plays trumpet. He is a Frederick County band director.
Jeffery Elrick plays clarinet. He has a music degree from Ithica College.
David Worthington plays trombone. He is a retired engineer from the US Army Corp of Engineers, and he is the president of the band.
Gary Jones plays tenor and bari saxophone.
Sean Yanni plays baritone.
Karibeth Pennington plays french horn. She is a music graduate of Shenandoah University.
Doug Thompson plays trombone. He is the band's composer.
